The Actor's Door

The overview:

The Actor's Door is a real-time process of the work actors, directors and crew members of theater, stage, and film must do to erect a successful production. The 12-week program The student actor will explore the stage, acting for film as well as television. We will jump into film and television learning about the production process for actors and crew. Everyone will end the first 4 weeks of the course with a completed short film project. We will then move onto the stage. A totally different beast of talent is needed and will be explored. At the end of the 8 weeks, the student will have a script to stage performance under their belt. 

 *This workshop is intense great commitment and focus is needed for successful completion.

The 8 and 4-week workshop
The student actor will explore acting on the stage. Vocal exercises and group theater games will be taught. The student will study the script and script breakdown, learn memory techniques, characterization, and how to act on stage. The actor will also learn and understand stage language as well as the areas of the stage, to successfully fulfill duties onstage. For both theater workshops, the student will host a performance for an audience at the end. Stories Told by Stevi - Stevi performs tales to arouse the imagination. Captivating the audience with talking animals and the mischief they get into with each other.
Stevi’s animals learn lessons through the challenges of the choices they make and the consequences.

Stevi’s tales offer entertainment, motivation, healing, intrigue, mystery and perhaps answers and resolutions.
